Christmas Cards

Wow, it is busy today at the mall! It doesn’t pay to be a last minute shopper! It’s very stressful and time consuming to get anywhere because traffic multiplies by 100. Let me tell you something you might not know. I made these Christmas cards for a select few people. I made 20 to be exact; it took forever cut all the picese.
I used Basic Grey’s Figgy Pudding paper and Bazzill brown cardstock. Inside the cards I put in this years picture of Sean and Santa. This idea is not an original I got the figgy pudding card kit and just duplicated the card. I though it was too cute.

Good Times

Every Tuesday Balboa park has a few free museums, which is great if your on a budget and would like to pass a few educational hours with your kid(s) some are more kid friendly than others. Earlier this month Sean and I went with a friend to the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center and the Natural History Museum. It was a ton of fun, I took a few pictures. ☺

Christmas Cards

Candace and Lisa wanted to give Christmas cards with their pictures to the members at the Credit Union they work for. I convinced them that if I made it for them it would not only personalize them, it would also be much more economical.
I used the Berry Days FREE digital kit from 2peas. They printed 100 prints for $20.48+ $4.31 in envelopes. It would have cost them more than $25 to get 100 plain old generic Christmas cards.
It took me about an hour to make it. I’m giving my self a pat on the back for being a good friend and saving money even thought it wasn’t mine. ☺ I know I’m sooo modest lol.

Owl Ornament

My girlfriend Rebecca got me this supper awesome owl ornament for Christmas. I’m not sure what about it made her think of me when she saw it, but it got me thinking and according to Wikipedia “In Greek mythology, the owl, and specifically the Little Owl, was often associated with the goddess Athena, a bird goddess who became associated with wisdom, the arts, and skills, and as a result, owls also became associated with wisdom.”
I’m just glad she thought of me, it’s very colorful and in my opinion suits me ☺

Make A Wish

So I’m trying to ease myself into scrapbooking again. I feel so out of the loop! I’ve talked to some girls that are on Design teams and I absolutely love seeing their wonderful layouts these girls are seriously talented. That being said I’m not thinking about joining any design team anytime soon. First of f I can’t afford to keep up, nor do I want to. I’d like to think I’ve matured a little and I think I’ll stick to the look that suits my personality best. Once I’ve perfected that I think I’ll feel comfortable having other people judge my work. I though I’d take you through my process.
I’ve had this happy birthday paper from doodle bug forever. And since I still haven’t scrapbooked Sean’s second birthday pictures. I took a little time to but the too together.
First thing I did was sketch out my layout. I’ll make a few sketches until I make one I really like. Things don’t always come out the way I think, but this time I think it came out well.

Happy Birhday Card

I made this card for David’s second cousin. His birthday is tomorrow so he is going to get it a pit late. Sorry! He is turning 19.
I know it seems like I’ve been slacking on the posts so I apologize for that. Life is so supper busy; I just put in my two weeks note at my job so I’ll have a bit of time on my hands in a few weeks. I’m also going to enroll in a classes this going semester (hopefully…wink, wink).

Kitchen

I’m sorry I haven’t posted in such a long time. David, Sean and I went on a road trip up to Washington. That was loads of fun! I hope to be scrapbooking them soon.
Right now, I’m working on a project for work so I’m not such when I have time.
The only thing new is Sean’s kitchen. As seen in the pictures below.

Happy Fathers Day! 2007

I decorated this paint tin I bought at Home Depoit. Using Autumn Leaves paper and rub-ons. I also used of course some Quickutz dies and alphabet. David loved the gift. It took a lot of time. Now that I'm working so much every thing takes forever. Sean got David a pair of flip flops we got at American Eagle Outfitters. We had a great day! Sorry the pictures are a bit dark I used black and white photos.

Daycare

I love seeing my son play at his daycare. I feel real guilty that I have to leave him there for the whole day so everyday I stay until he finishes breakfast and, I frequently read books to the children. They absolutely love it, everyday one child asks me to read a book. Today I read about cars and thier colors as well as a book that is about the colors of the rainbow. (Barnes & Nobles is the best for kids books).
Anyway, here are a few pictures I took of my son with my new lens (EF50mm f/1.8II), indoors and no flash.

The 3 amigas

When I first started working at the bank there was this small group of tellers the supervisors would call the three musketries well, shortly after I started one of the girls found a job elsewhere so when she left they were called the three musketries minus one. Well I became full time not to long ago and I’m quite happy to say I fit in lol.
Someone said, “oh no, we have the three musketries again”. One of the girls said No! were not, were the three amigas 3-1+1. I laughed so hard. I made them this card just because.
I used the Basic Grey phoebe line. I have so much of this tuff I have to use it up.

Happy Birthday to Me!

My family and I celebrated my b-day on Sunday since David and I had to work on Monday (my actual Birthday). David got me an iPod 30GB, which was an awesome surprise. I feel so cool lol. I was having problems with my camera so after almost 2 years I tried to return it. Well, I got a brand new Canon digital rebel XTi 10.1 mega pixel and it didn’t cost me a penny. Latter on that day as a present to my self I went to Ritz camera and bought myself a new lens for my new camera. I should have played the lottery I was feeling so lucky! Needless to say I had a good birthday.
My girlfriend Alexis made me this supper cute card for my birthday. Along with a $50 gift card form Apple to buy any accessory I want. That was a great surprise. She is too awesome.

My friend Kody stopped by on the night of my birthday to laugh, and catch up she got me this cake from Basket Robin. Sean, Kody, and I split the cake I got the part with the flower of course.
